Moving day

By my count I've moved four times in my life. I'm not sure if that number is high or low or just right, but it seems good enough for me.

The thing about moving is that takes so much time. Packing and taping and sorting and lugging. And there's the decisions to make--what do I keep and what do I let go? What should I be careful with and what can be tossed around? What's permanent and what's temporary?

The same thing could be said for virtual moving, which is what a few cohorts and I are doing with this blog today.

Beginning Friday, I'll have a new blog with a few extra bells and whistles designed to spread some really fantastic news. So I hope you stop back by tomorrow and meet me here. We'll walk over there together. I might ask you to carry a box or two, though...

I've moved...hang on while I count... dang, at least 18 times. That was all since I turned 18. I moved..never, up until then.

So, I'm pretty good at moving boxes if you need help!

Four times? Gosh, that seems like such a lovely small number to me - mine is thirty.

I look forward to seeing your new weblog :-)

Funny...I just wrote about moving on my blog today...and I'm not talking virtual. I used to think I excelled at it...I've done it roughly 15 times...but this moving countries thing has been a little bit hard.

I'll look forward to seeing your new home. Hope you settle right in.

After moving 15 times in my 31 years of life, I really have to say that I detest moving. Sweaty, dusty, and just plain bothersome. But I've noticed that after the boxes are unpacked and everything's put away, I'm glad I went through the trouble.

Sounds exciting Billy! It is always fun to get into a new place. It is the packing and carrying stuff that is undesirable. But the work is usually always worth it in the end. :) I am excited to stop by tomorrow and see your new place. :)

Billy,

I think everyone of us would be willing to help you! You are one of my most favorite blog authors and soon to be published author. Can't wait to see what kind of surprise you have planned. Then we can all help you with a housewarming party or would that be a Blogwarming Party?

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Wow! very cool. I love good news. :)

I've moved a whole lot of times with most being during my 10 married years- one involving moving across the country from Oklahoma to Alaska. Just be glad you're not doing that!

That's the great thing about the internets - you really can't move very far.

We've only moved once in 32 years, but we've moved our daughter 14 times in 13 years. That's enough for me.

I'm on pins and needles!

Oh boy. I'm excited to see what you've cooked up.

And ... of course, I'm eager to hear that fantastic news at last.

I'll be glad to lug a box or two...just as long as they're not too awful big. ;)

Can't wait to see what's in store at the new site!
