The Bench, Part II

Last Monday, Katdish was kind enough to post what is to me one of the best things I’ve ever written. Well, the first part anyway. The last part is up today.

Just so you know, I never saw Jordan again. Sometimes people pop into your life and then right back out again, leaving little more than footprints destined to be washed away by the tides of time (yes, I said “tides.” In my mind, I’m still at the ocean). But I think Jordan’s footprints will always linger on my own little stretch of beach. Whether mine have been washed away on hers, I cannot say.

So please, head on over there. I promise it’ll be worth your while. And be sure to stop back by here tomorrow, when I’ll be having my first ever giveaway of one of my favorites books by one of my favorite bloggers.

Amazing. I can't wait to be on those streets of gold and watch it all unfold myself. Lovely.

Well, I'll just have to hurry on over there and read it all...I don't expect that I'll be disappointed after reading that wonderful Father's Day post.

I just wanted to say what a great photo that is of you on the beach that you have as your header.

That is a beautiful photo of the bench and the garden. The lighting is just perfect. This photo can tell a thousand stories.
Thank you for Jordan's story.

I just had to stop by again and ask if that photo is taken where you live or anywhere there or just ask where that is. I just really like it. I just enlarged it and it even looked more beautiful because it looked more detailed. Thank you!

Billy,

I felt tears begin to fill my eyes as I picked up where you left off last week. Then I felt those same tears fall down my cheeks and before long cried. Cried a healing kind of cry. The kind where you feel better just by crying. I cried for Jordan who lost her mom, and hope that God will see her through each step of her life.

As for you, God did send her an angel, he just sent you to help a little girl not feel so alone in the big world of Why!

Thank you for sharing this.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat
